Forest School

The first British Forest School was set up at Bridgewater College, Somerset in 1995 following a visit to Denmark by their Nursery Nursing students. The Danish Pre-Schools each had their own woodland area where the students observed the children exploring their outdoor environment in an unstructured way. The benefits to the children were great – they grew in confidence, self-esteem and learned to appreciate the natural environment around them.

We are always keen for our parents to participate in activities at Little Blossoms so if any Pippins parents would like to come along with us to Forest School, either to find out more about it or to possibly help out, please contact a member of the Pippins team.

Our Staff

At Little Blossoms we believe that quality childcare is dependent on quality staff; we therefore take time and care in choosing a committed, enthusiastic and professional team. In addition to having Safeguarding and Paediatric First-Aid training, all our staff are vetted by the Disclosure and Barring Service and are registered with the Update Service.
