Mealtimes & Nutrition
A healthy balanced diet is provided in our award winning 5 stars on the door* kitchen with a hot farmhouse lunch at 12pm, a light tea at 4pm with snacks provided mid-morning and afternoon. Breakfast is offered to the babies in the Seedlings department as part of their weaning programme and is served between the hours of 8am and 9am.
Menu’s operate on a four week rota and all meals are home cooked and nutritionally well-balanced. The Chefs have designed the menu using the new voluntary food and drink guidelines for Early Years settings in England. This is part of the Eat better start better programme helping young children to eat well. Not only will the meals we are providing be freshly homemade using homegrown and local produce, but each day the children will be receiving their appropriate portions of Starchy foods, fruit and vegetables, meat ,f ish, eggs, beans and non-dairy sources of protein, and milk and dairy foods. This has meant carefully chosing lunch, pudding and tea to ensure the balance is right! We have incorporated foods from around the world, and there is a vegetarian option every day.
All dietary requirements are catered for.We are a nut-free nursery and all ingredients used in the preparation of food are fresh from the farm shop or sourced as locally as possible.

*5 stars is a food hygiene award for the kitchen, presented by Malvern Hills District Council. It is the maximum star rating they give and means the food prepared, the cleaning schedules and cleanliness are of the highest level.
